Voting is a sin.
Celebrating one's birthday is a sin.
I think those are unique or nearly unique to JWs. The first time I voted, it still felt wrong.

Hi gary,
Gluttony is not a sin though.
After meals at Bethel, is there still the mad dash by some to scoop up as many of the leftovers as they can get to?
The story I have heard is that some have large plastic trash bags to put the leftovers in.
One would think they [Bethel} would crack down on this, or at least say use some moderation.

Hi VM, I was never invited to a meal at Bethel so I can't confirm the story about the run on the leftover tray. Others here will know about that.
Another thing that was not a sin when I associated with the Witness people was the prolific use of the drug ethyl alcohol. I know of one visiting speaker who had to give his talk wearing sunglasses because he was so hung over from the night on the town the night before. He got so drunk he threw up and passed out. He almost missed giving his talk Sunday afternoon cause he was still sleeping. I thought it was funny as hell.
I almost can't remember doing anything with Witnesses that alcohol was not involved. Some of those brothers could really put away the booze. GaryB
Owning an American Flag. I had to throw mine away after I got my citizenship back in '99.
I was going to say "Causing a division" (i.e. Thinking for Yourself) but I suppose there are some other religious groups out there that would nail people for that. I still think it's very humorous, sad but humorous.
Christmas makes Baby Jesus a sad panda.
Is robbing Peter to pay Paul a sin?
Whenever I was assigned a talk I would miss the book study the night before my talk to write it.
Then I would end up writing it two hours before the meeting started. I felt bad for the ladies that were assigned as my partners but never bad enough to ever get the damn talk written early.
Forgetting to study for the WT lesson. How many here did the "quick underline" method on the way to the hall so if anyone looked at you WT, it appeared you didn't "sin". lol
heck at our hall there was an elder assigned to walk around during the wt study to check who didnt have an underlined watchtower. dunno if that was unique to our hall or if its system wide.
Having sex in the parking lot at an assembly. Yes this really did happen and no it wasn't me ya jerks. Also two pioneer sisters supporting themselves at night by being prostitutes. Now that is funny. LOL Panther I'm sure picking your nose during the meeting would be bad too. I always felt like doing that. I just fidgeted alot instead... Panther
