i jus reread baby's post and i wanted to add that becoming a jw doesnt make one a good person. and leaving doesnt make anyone revert back to old bad habits. people are who they are regardless of who or what they worship.
her comments just feels like anyone who leaves the jws are just itching to get back to the "bad stuff", frankly i have met more honest loving God-fearing and non God-fearing good people on the outside than in. on the outside i dont have to worry about who may see me doing what and who's going to report me to the elders.
i can drink, smoke, have sex in any position, celebrate what holidays i want, associate with whom i please, have the career and education i want, wear the kind of clothes i want, cuss, have smurfs in the house (even though i think they are incrediblly stupid), watch r rated movies and a few pornos every once in a while, wear my hair the way i want, dance and shake my butt, give money and other items to charities, go garage sale shopping, second hand store shopping, eat what i what (well not too much dont want to gain weight lol).
i could go on....but life must be pretty boring for you if you think only about all the bad stuff you could be doing outside of the society instead of all the good there is out there to do.
