My PC is a fully-reciprocating unit. It has 3 pistons and a ratchet regulator complete with an anti reverse device. It's quite happy to operate using Polish coal but really does much better on the Scottish stuff. Like me it also has a tender behind.

    Englishman.

I would like to know the conditions, if there are any. For example I have a computer in a storage room in my basement which I have not used in years and years. Does that count? or does it have to be the one I am using to type on at JWD? (I think I know what the answer is but I cna't help but ask the question).

Nope, it has to be an operating computer used to post here.

I dial up using my Timex Sinclair, 300 baud modem, 16K of RAM. It took me 3 hours after I hit "Reply" to get this window.

I have a pentium 133 with 32 megs of ram (I'm using DSL lite if that counts for anything). Not so long ago, I was posting here with a 386dx40 with 8 megs of ram!

I have a Pentium 166 overclocked at 200 as my Gateway\Router pc, I also use it to burn the odd cd and
browse the www if there is a problem with my main pc.
Beside my bed is my 'craptop', an ex Cisco Macintosh Powerbook 520, greyscale display, 30mb and 25mhz
of raw processing power. :) I use it for reading ebooks and chatting on IRC from the comfort of bed.
In fact. I have just bought a pcmcia adapter (one that goes into a battery slot) from Ebay and
I am looking for an el-cheapo 802.11b wireless card so I can wander round the house with it.
It's pretty cool using such an ancient computer.

Mine is so old the only mouse it has is inside, running round in a wheel, keeping the valves glowing.
