Know the feeling myself. Any religion that thinks it the monopoly on God and truth becomes dogmatic and domineering - it's not just a trait of JWs. They then protect the power they hold over the rank and file by behaving in the manner only too frequently described on this board.

I once had an elder change lanes when he saw me. I could hardly believe it. he made a very fast deliberate lane change. He's afraid of my car? I was stunned but laughed about it.

    Ever feel like a bee?

I remember my mom telling me, "If you leave it alone and pretend it's not there, it will go away!"

    Bzzzzz!

Perhaps they thought they would go blind due to my demonic powers or that they would spontaneously feel an urge to fuck a cat or something.

LMFAO!!! Brad...........................................sometimes you leave even me speechless...............

LogansRun, Seems just like your namesake movie when Logan had to go "outside" to the dangerous area where he would "die" rather than remaining inside to carousel (where he would really have died) Outside he found freshness and life and Peter Ustinov living at the Capital library with zillions of cats. Of course seeing someone "old" and alive was a total blow to the "inside" beliefs and teachings.

So isn't that the real fear? W/in the borg we were told that those outside would "seduce" us and we'd die. But here we all are; alive, better educated, and fearless. Now we've got the true "secret knowledge" not as told by the WTS but as discovered through research. The internet will hopefully help others to see what the destructive cults (not just the WTS) are covering up.

But anyway so here I am old and alive and w/many barn cats.

In my own locality they would look into the passenger footwell, rather than look at me driving past. I was certain one of them was going to have an accident. The idiocy of the whole thing is hilarious, until you think about the potential that an innocent party may get injured...

I know the feeling many times over sir Bradley, though I usually get a wave or a smile.

This was a first for me. What are my feelings "on becoming a shunnee"? Actually, I felt a sense of empowerment! Think about it -- I'm so "dangerous" that this long-time JW couple would not even LOOK at me. Perhaps they thought they would go blind due to my demonic powers or that they would spontaneously feel an urge to f&%k a cat or something.

I'll bet on top of your empowerment......it made you as pissed as a sumbitch. It can do that.

    Hey Brad,

Did you have problems with cats back in that hall? I'm picturing you being called back to the Library - the litter box siting on the table as evidence. Jonny K coughing up a hairball.

    P.S. - who was it?

    mjarka,

Um, no...bestiality was never a problem for me. Although in the minds of the average JW someone who willingly leaves just MUST perform all sorts of perversions and take delight in a whole cornecopeia of wicked practices. I don't do that. Should I??

Oh, it was Gary Wolf from Norwood Park congo, btw. I think you might know him.

    B.
