Of course, there was the Balkan Boy-band War of 1876, but that was a one-off...

I guess that you are too young to remember when The Bay City Rollers invaded Scunthorpe and started the War of the Roses. Apparently one man, sickened by the continual refrain of his neighbour singing 'Bye Bye Baby' as he milked his cows, poked a crossbow through his barn window and shouted 'Bye Bye Baby'. The rest is history.

Music is strangely subjective as it always involves much more than music, but it does have its more honest moments. I remember when Lou Reed produced that heap of quavers called 'Metal Machine Music' in the mid 70's. It was a double album, Lord help us. Many people thought the music very eclectic, I suspect for fear of not being seen as cool. When I first heard it, the words 'God, what drivelling crap' were the first that I uttered. My friends were aghast and shunned me for hours. Several years later Lou Reed said about the album "Anybody who gets to side four is dumber than I am'. Never a truer word has been spoken.

good for you! I don't cook so much any more with a busy work schedule, so for me --- today's pleasure is preparing a Turkey with the trimmings. My stuffing is almost ready!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm ........
