    Subject: FILL ATTACHED FORM

    Dear Winner,

We wish to congratulate you and formally inform you that you have won the sum (yadda, yadda, you know the drill) in the last email-lottery draw, organized by ADS INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION. We have confirmed the above winning.

You should note that your email address in addition to millions of company and individual email were extracted with a software and the addresses were scrutinized with a ballot system and after the processes, 30 email addresses were selected and they were shared into 3 categories respectively and which you are a winner in the 1st category of $(yadda, yadda...).

The said sum is now deposited in our suspense account in your favour waiting for the immediate remittance into your nominated bank account. Be informed that your winning prize has a hardcover insurance policy that makes it impossible to make any deduction of any kind, until the sum is finally credited into your designated account.

This firm on behalf of ADS INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION will issue an Irrevocable Guarantee of Payment Bond (IGPB) in your favour, thereby securing the above prize money. A copy of the IGPB will be forwarded to our paying bank for immediate action.

Following the above, you are expected to fill the attached form and return back to this office along with a copy of your identification for vetting process which is a standard practice just to ensure that we are dealing with the right individual and account.

This process is vital and urgent following the instruction from our Payment center that all prize money should be claimed as soon as possible.

Once again accept our congratulations and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards,

    Mr. Armstrong Becker

Hi Frannie, your attachment (the form) did not show up on your post for me. In all likelihood this is a scam. Do not give thema any banking information. After all they could cut you a cheque if it was legit. Chances are this is a scam designed to give them access to your account so they can draw money from it. However, there is a very simple solution to this: Go to your bank manager with this info and see what he or she tells you.

I hope you didn't give them your bank account number, Frannie !! ......DON'T !!!!!

Oooops! Sorry...here's the form they've asked me to fill out. I have no intentions of giving them my bank account number. I'm just a little crazy...but not that much. I agree, HG....they can just cut me a cashier's check if it's not a hoax.

Thanks for the info....think I'll take it to my bank and let them look into it, but will respond that they can cut me a cashier's check instead of transferring anything into my account....or....I could set up another account with an extremely small amount of money just to see what they do...hmmm?

    Freannie,

I got the same one about six weeks ago. I played along for several days exchanging e-mails, finally was asked to forward 35 Pounds and my bank account number. The fee was to insure a "secure transfer". Truely a scam. No different than the Liberian hoaxes..

Play with them but don't bite! Screw with their minds. Tell them you are flying to London or whereever and will pick up the check in person,,,la de da de da!

    have fun

I was recently sent something similar. But I was told a long time ago and I have made it my philosophy: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true." I played the game a little while, then deleted it.

I get those kind of spams often at my work. I figured I got so many different ones and they sounded too good to be true that they probably are. Theres a lot of identity theft going on these days . Be careful. jt
