  I got a card, which was very disappointing because I wanted to be the first to send them out! Everyone's card was sent out Friday night (wednesday night for international), so we'll see how long this takes....

  You are a lot quicker then we - here in the Netherlands - normally we don't start shopping or mailing for Christmas until after the 6th of December.

  On the 5th December we are celebrating "Sinterklaas" also know as "Sint Nicolaas"

  Today, the shops are already mixed up with decorations of both feasts.

  Last week I read in the newspaper that they want to forbid "Santa" to be in the streets before "Sinterklaas" left our country. (since Sinterklaas is supposed to live in Spain). With as an argument: Otherwise the kids are going to be confused with the slightly different figures........

  I am mailing my Secret Santa gift today, and it is going to Canada. I hope it won't take too long.

  We ordered our cards yesterday and I can pick them up later today. I will be sending them out later this week.

  I've found that it usually takes about a week for something to arrive to Canada from the States.

  I'm going to get mine in the mail this week - time is flying so quickly! They'll be there in time for Christmas.
