Hmmmmmm. I don't see these being built and "flipped". Maybe its more long term thinking.....building a practical meeting place in areas where 10-15 years from then resale will be higher and the building could be easily converted into something else depending on zoning.
Many churches currently lease commercial space, so ironically they could end up selling to another place of worship.
I don't know. The place seems so utility, it could simply be a cost saving measure. Even with tile which will make sound dampening interesting, all they do is ensure less maintenance in the long run (carpet cleaning, replacement, cooling, repairs). Or its just the typical evolution in the RBC's selection method. they already have pre approved plans for big boxes. Municipalities no longer want just big rectangles in an area. They want some architecture, some feeling, maybe even (gulp)......windows! In a more industrial area, you don't have to have those things.
Its basically the crossfit model. Rent cheap industrial space.......add weights......now its a gym.

Those appear to be carpet tiles. They sell carpet in tile form like that.

Cappy.....that makes sense. I didn't look very closely. carpet tiles are cheap, and if you need to you can replace just one. (and you will need to.....often).
Of course this is all US based. In south america you have tile in every KH pretty much.

Ill bet that some how they will tell the congregations that they can have one of these but before the borg will build one the congregation will have to buy the land and it has to be where the borg says. This will be another way to get more money out of the people then have this commercial building built in a place for maximum value. -

Its ironic really. I have noticed in my part of the world that most kingdom halls or assembly halls that are sold ALWAYS sell to another religious group!
So, if the org builds and sells to them, are they not in effect ASSISTING Babylon The Great?!

Is the building a "tilt up" design like Patterson? the outside walls are concrete that is poured and then tilted up into place. This makes for extremely fast and commercial usage. The interior can be arranged according to use. Just wondering if anyone knows if the building is a concrete exterior wall construction. -

First I saw the picture and thought--it looks like a standard corporate building.
Then I saw cappytan's comment and the photo below with a drive through and thought--why is there a drive through? It looks like a bank that needs an atm. Then I read freemindfade's comment.
