Still in its developmental phases, but confirmed to work with humans!

My only question is, when will it be available with Bluetooth?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Four people were able to control a computer using their thoughts and an electrode-studded "thinking cap," U.S. researchers reported on Monday.

    ........................

Well, this would be kind of a cool now wouldn't it. I can think of a lot of people that would like an electrode-studded "thinking cap". LOL

I did read most of the article Seatle Nice Guy, and it will be really useful for artificial arms, legs etc.

    ROFL at SNG

I wish it was a brain controlled pointing device, cause then it wouldn't get us into some much trouble......

    BTT!

I can't believe nobody else thinks this is totally awesome! Can you imagine the applications? I bet the first industry (besides the healthcare industry) to really use this will be video games. Or think about the incredible productivity you could enjoy just moving the cursor with your brain, and keeping your hands on the keyboard to type, etc. But why type? Surely if we can train our mind to move a cursor, we can train it to enter text as well. This is revolutionary!

    Now be excited, dammit!

Here is something even more incredible....a brain in a petri dish flies an airplane:

This is the stuff of really bad B-grade sci-fi flicks from the fifties.

I think the brain has great potenial and that it is in the stranglehold of me first emotions,, at the present that cause it to operate inefficiantly and under the task master stress.

Interesting article Leolaia.....Almost reads like a sciencefiction. I was thinking as I read it ,, How is it that it could learn to fly a plane in 15 minutes and then I thought,,"when the plane is unstable make a uncomfortable enviroment for the brain cells and when the plane is nice and stable give the cells some kind of reward.",,,There must be some kind of memory device in those cells too.
