Do you mean one of the cd tapes they used release or are you talking about a VHS tape?

What a weird place to find either one.

I haven't thrown away my WTS publications because I use them to talk to other JW's I am trying to help out of the religion. But my son burned his jw bible on a camping trip and he found it wonderfully liberating. So what ever works for you is what you should do. I don't hid the fact I was once a JW and have had some interesting converstations with people about it. Have even got to Church who invited me to come talk to them about the JW religion.

Actually it's a cassette tape of the watchtower July 1, 2002. I listened to a small bit of it. Same old drivel. I would like to tape some Christmas music over it and return it to the hall here. Is that too evil? lol

Sorry if I came off as offensive. I doubt that your friends would snoop through your stuff, but at the same time, if you taped "DC Talk's greatest hits" over top of it and kept it lying around in your car it may raise some eyebrows. Also, I don't really have any problems with the so-called worldly people I know. However it my former JW association does come up from time to time, especially in the bible belt community I used to live in. Don't forget there are a lot of people who assume that everyone keeps whatever religious affiliations they were raised with for the rest of their lives. Finally, while I agree that it's much easier to ruin a reputation inside the borg than outside your outside reputation is of MUCH more consequence. For instance, if an elder and a newly disfellowshipped man are both competing for the same job the interviewer probably won't take their religious standing into account. Being a mic runner doesn't account for your character outside a kingdom hall, publishing hours can't be entered on a resume, and fighting a spiritual war won't get you veteran's benifits.

that's ok i wasnt trying to be snappish either i just dont have friends like that.

the people i have told their response was one of sympathy rather that revulsion. i find that most people outside of the jws dont know the society's real message of destruction of most of humanity.

most people look on the jws as being a christain sect and in some cases as being a cult. but i havent run into any of what you have, therefore i dont have those kinds of fears.

Listen to it then listen to a current one to see if there is any new light.

OR you could record something else over it and mail it back to the hall.....I don't know what..you could think of something funny though, I'm sure.

How about this: Part 1: http://www.jwinfoline.com/audio/randy_watters.ram and Part 2: http://www.jwinfoline.com/audio/randy_watters_2.ram

Give the tape to a small child to play with.

So he or she can experience the mysterious pleasure of drawing out all that long, skinny ... what is that stuff, anyway, and how do they get so much of it into that little tiny box?
