Happy Birthday Mary!! I had mine a few days ago myself.. Last year was my first ever to celebrate and pretty much nothing happened, since some of my family is still a JW.. it was hard. this year some friends I have gotten to know from here threw me a party and it was wonderful..
I know it was because they knew I never had a party before.. so I won't expect it again.. but it was very special...
then at work I told co workers I was throwing myself a birthday party (the day after my birthday) and invited them to go with me for drinks and appetisers.. and some of them did and we had a really nice time..
it takes a while to get the hang of this birthday thing... but.. we will!
