Now someone finally proved the Watchtower to be false prophets!?! Darn. That's it, I'm out.

JW's are NOT Christian; you don't subscribe to the Nicene Creed. You reject the trinitarian nature of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You cannot therefore claim to be Christian.

The apostles and the ante-Nicene fathers did not subscribe to the Nicene Creed either, and at times expressed their theology at times in variance with the later creed (such as Tertullian's economical concept of the Trinity). So were they not Christians? Why do you cite the Nicene Creed as the main criterion of determining a religion as "Christian"? How about belief in Jesus as the Christ and as Savior? The Trinity is not taught as such in the NT (tho I agree that most of the ingredients of the Trinity concept are based on statements in the NT, e.g. John clearly conceives the Son as God), but the NT does repeatedly teach that Jesus is Christ and Savior.

Wakeup Treefrog! Most people here aren't Jehovah's Witnesses. Like someone said in an earlier post "You are preaching to the Choir"!

When people tell you that you are "preaching to the choir" it is to let you know they support your idea (somewhat); they also might be saying you don't need so spend so much energy to make them believe what they already know.

I'm not going to hang around!

    Eeeek! I'm scared!

Having looked around this miserable place, it scares me to think of the great damage the watchtower is doing those who fall for it's deception. The tone here is not Christian. Your WTS sets out to control people.

But I say to you, know that there is a God who loves you, and will welcome you back with open arms.

Why put yourself at the mercy of a fruitless sect like WTS?

Please, I implore you, get out now!

I don't think you are bad people, just very badly misguided.

I'll pray for all of you.

    best wishes,

    Like talking to a wall.

Treefrog my best advice is to lurk and read the posts on this site, then you will see that most here arent jehovah's witnesses but are recovering and moving on and living life.

This dude is as fanatical as the JW's. I feel much better about not being part of organized religion after hearing this weirdo talk.

'Elsewhere', if you are already converted, why are you still here? Isn't it unhealthy, I mean it's like standing round the wreckage of a plane crash long after everyone else has gone home! I'm here to try to reveal the truth to those in the dark! (I know, I'm a fool).

I'll pray for all of you.

Thanks, but no thanks. Tell your creator to cancel my subscription to the resurrection.

This is a message board for ex-jw's and jw's, not Roman Catholics trying to convert us. If you want to know more, just ask your 'roomie'. At least he'll get to count service time and you'll make him happy.

    Thanks, and god bless.
