Joined with a bunch of coworkers in a toy drive for a local shelter for homeless families, provided gifts, plan to spend an afternoon at the shelter next week wrapping presents, and volunteered to help prepare/serve the shelter's holiday dinner on Dec. 25.
Beats going out in service on Christmas Day!
We're spending the 24-25 with the in-laws. A nice dinner, a few gifts exchanged, visits from the outer family.
Visiting one of the local churches for the music program.
We had a toy drive at work as well as a food drop off.
The thing to remember is that these things are needed all year long.

When I was a JW, I lived in Massachusetts, and my ex and I used to spend Christmas Day with a certain couple who had been my friends before we were married. The agenda was always the same: dinner at a Chinese restaurant followed by a movie (since we didn't actually celebrate Christmas). Well, I've left the JW's and so have my friends. My ex-wife divorced me and I've remarried. But the tradition continues, even though I now live in New Jersey, three hours away from my friends' house. I've booked a hotel room in the area, and on the morning of Dec. 25, we will drive to Mass. for a Chinese dinner and a movie with our friends. I expect that my daughter and her husband will join us (my ex will not, however - thank God ). We'll be staying over through Sunday (which we will spend with my daughter and son-in-law) and on Monday, will head down into Connecticut to my sister-in-law's house, where my wife's family will be having their Christmas celebration. Monday night, we'll be headed home.
I've been invited by one of my brothers for dinner at a (new) Chinese restaurant in the dunes on the 25th, haven't planned anything for the 26th.
This time next week Bubbles and I will be hangin with Steve, Princess & Co....we are sssoooo excited!!!!! Looking forward to a great Christmas and the fest the next day!!!

We leave on Tuesday, spending Christmas in Dallas with my husbands family, It will be the first time they are all together
in about 20 years, so will also be a family reunion. I am expecting it to be a little crazy, but FUN!
Anyone know what i can expect wheather wise in Dallas? I just love Dallas,cant wait to go.

Christmas Eve I'll be spending with friends while daughter is with her Dad and on Christmas day the whole famn damily will be at my house with card playing, cocktails, gift opening, more cocktails and prime rib and yorkshire pudding and more cocktails.
Else, you are welcome to come join us! If we're lucky we'll even have some snow for you to play in !
