George W Bush is a God fearing Christian, he says.

George W believes in pre-emptive strikes.

So why didn't God make a pre-emptive strike against Satan before he got his claws into Adam & Eve and save us all of this hassle?

There was, no doubt, a cosmic point to prove .

He's from a brand of god-fearers that are trying to speed up the rapture.

Because Satan raised a question and if God had destroyed him right away, then all the other angels would have always wondered if Satan was right and that question would never have been settled. (at least that was what I was told)

My question then was: If there was a question raised up in heaven, how many people do you need to be faithful or disobey until the you have proven your point? I mean seriously we have billions alive today, and there have been thousands of years of recorded history, how many people have to either prove themselves obedient or disobedient until we finally know the answer the challenge up in heaven????

When I play games it's usually like best out of 3 or something. What is this? Best out of 50 billion? Does the question actually justify human suffering for thousands of years?

The President is obviously smarter than Jehovah.

    So we can say that:

God fearing Christians believe in pre-emptive strikes. (I went to college to learn that)

Jah is apparently NOT a God fearing Christian because he doesn't believe in pre-emptive strikes. You would think that with His many personalities ( read God A Biography) one would have thought this through but no, no cooperation among the schizoid deis.

    The Dead Zone

Whenever I see that weird glint in Bush's eyes, I think of this scene from the Dead Zone (the David Cronenberg movie from the '80s)

Greg Stillson: Put your hand on the scanning screen, and you'll go down in history with me!
Five Star General: As what? The world's greatest mass murderers?
Greg Stillson: You cowardly bastard! You're not the voice of the people, I am the voice of the people! The people speak through me, not you!

Greg Stillson: The missiles are flying. Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

I live in a community where, right now, because a nativity scene was not allowed in an elementary school play, a $10 million dollar bond for a badly needed elementary school, plus improvements and repairs for existing buildings, was voted down; and now, a local whack job has decided to sue the school district because her feelngs as a "Christian" were outraged by deletion of the nativity scene.

I am living in a country where the loons are taking over the asylum. Unfortunately, the loonies from other religions are taking over their own countries as well. Soon, we'll be back to the dark old days of 11th and 12th centuries, except instead of rocks and swords, we'll have nukes and bio-terror.

This is something I always struggled with... God is the Alpha and the Omega... the one knowing the end from its beginning.

Why not just not create the angel that became Satan at all, since he 'knew' what he would do??

Why not blat every being with reasoning capabilities, and start again ??

    Bull!

Because he couldn't find any Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Garden of Eden, so He took it out on us for the next 6,000 years and Satan apparently got off scot free.

Interesting how our Western Civilization has its foundation in the Roman Empire and its religious roots from.....the first century christians sects and the ancient Hebrews! ( Judeo-Christian culture)

How much more fun it would be if the ancient Roman ( and Greek!) Gods had survived to our present day.

I would just love to design a temple for Jupiter; and think of the fun that could be had designing one for Aphrodite!

I find my knowledge of Greek mythology far more interesting and enjoyable than what I learned from the WTBTS!
