What you are getting married? Am I mistaken or did I not read one of your posts (maybe at Slippy's) that you had no such interest?
All that changes when the man of your dreams comes along huh. Good for you! Happiness to you both.
Okay a song. I'm listening to "Have a Merry Merry Merry Frickin Christmas" - a song about how the Red Sox defeated the Yankees and then won the World Series and how it makes for a merry merry merry frickin christmas. How about that one?
Brian Adams, "Everything I do, I do it for you" Congrats
Here is a great song!
Fly me to the Moon! Its about a love story! Try that one too!

When Mozz and I got married, we had a VERY untraditional song on our recessional:
"I'm a Believer" by The Monkees
It was fast and fun and happy - it evoked the feeling we had with starting our new life together. (We actually got the idea from the first Shrek soundtrack.)
How about.....What a wonderful World...by Louis Armstrong!

Congratulations on your forthcoming nuptials!
Here are our wedding music choices:
I entered to I wear your ring/Cocteau Twins
We signed the register to I'm ready (acoustic)/Bryan Adams and Something Changed/Pulp.
We walked out together to We've only just begun/Carpenters which is really cheesy, but I love it.
Our first dance was to You and Me Song/Wannadies.
All the best!

If you want an energetic attention getter *think Muriel's Wedding* how about:
I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do Lyrics
by Abba
Love me or leave me, make your choice but believe me
I love you
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do
I can't conceal it, don't you see, can't you feel it
Don't you too
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do
Oh, I've been dreaming through my lonely past
Now I just made it, I found you at last
So come on, now let's try it, I love you, can't deny it
'Cos it's true
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do
Oh, no hard feelings between you and me
If we can't make it, but just wait and see
So come on now, let's try it, I love you, can't deny it
'Cos it's true
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do
So love me or leave me, make your choice but believe me
I love you
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do
I can't conceal it, don't you see, can't you feel it
Don't you too
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do
For a slower and sweeter song, maybe more suited for entry than exit: (I'd like to use this for the intro for my wedding. It would just be him and me walking in and meeting face to face before the marrier)
Oh My Love Lyrics
by John Lennon
Oh my love for the first time in my life
My eyes are wide open
Oh my lover for the first time in my life
My eyes can see
I see the wind, oh I see the trees
Everything is clear in my heart
I see the clouds, oh I see the sky
Everything is clear in our world
Oh my love for the first time in my life
My mind is wide open
Oh my lover for the first time in my life
My mind can feel
I feel the sorrow, oh I feel the dreams
Everything is clear in my heart
I feel life, oh I feel love
Everything is clear in our world
Then there's always the intense and passionately beautiful:
To Love Somebody Lyrics
by the Bee Gees
There's a light
A certain kind of light
That never shone on me
I want my life to be lived with you
Lived with you
There's a way everybody says
To do each and every little thing
But what does it bring
If I ain't got you, ain't got faith
Baby, you don't know what it's like, baby
Baby, you don't know what it's like
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way I love you
In my brain
I see your face again
I know my frame of mind
You ain't got to be so blind
And I'm blind, so, so, so very blind
I'm a man, can't you see
What I am
I live and breathe for you
But what good does it do
If I ain't got you, ain't got faith
Chorus
I also like the earlier suggestion of We've Only Just Begun by the Carpenters. Wayyyy back in 1972, we sang that at our 7th grade graduation and made my mom and a lot of other parents cry.
Oh yeah, River Deep, Mountain High by either Tina Turner or The Diana Ross/Four Tops version. It starts out very dramatically and gets attention in a good way:
Artist: Diana Ross & The Supremes
/Four Tops
River Deep - Mountain High
Tina Turner
Music & Lyrics : Ellie Greenwich - Jeff Barry - Phil Spector
Notes : Performed with "Ike Turner".
Also performed by "Deep Purple", "Celine Dion"
When I was a little girl I had a rag doll
only doll I've ever owned
Well, I love you just the way you loved that rag doll
Only now my love has grown
It gets stronger in every way,
And it gets deeper with each day
And it gets higher day by day
Do I love you, my oh my Oooh baby,
River Deep, Mountain High, yeah, yeah, yeah
If I lost you, would I cry?
Oh I love you baby, baby, baby!
When you were a young girl
Did you have a puppy
That always followed you around
Well I'm gonna be as faithful as that puppy
No I'll never never let you down
'Cause it goes on and on, on and on
like a river flows, and it gets deeper, baby. Heaven knows. And it gets sweeter, baby as it flows.
Do I love you, my oh my
If I lost you, would I cry
Oh I love you baby, how I love you baby, baby, baby!
I love you baby like a flower loves a spring
And I love you baby like a robin loves to sing
I love you baby like a schoolgirl loves her pie
And oh I love you baby, River deep, Mountain high
I love you baby, Mountain so high and river deep oh baby, baby I love you baby. I bet you do!
Do I love you my oh my tell me, tell me, tell me
River Deep, Mountain High, Ohhhh
If I lost you would I cry? Oh I love you baby, baby, baby! River deep, mountain high.
Tell me do you love me, baby? I love you, yeah! River so deep, Mountain so high........
Brummie! I was just going to say that! "Here and Now" was our wedding song. My husband picked it out. Soooooooooo romantic.
