As I got older-I figured it out so clearly how ridiculous it all is and wondered how anyone with a brain could buy any of this, although there are no doubt very intelligent people still blinded by it all. I just can't figure out how they can't see it. Many of them, I'm sure, have IQ much higher than mine. So what gives--like my family still in it. Very smart people--just can't figure--WHY don't they see it. It's so obviously 2nd grade mentality.

That's very true, estimates vary but we've got about 4 - 5 billion years of useful 'sun time' left. Of course, looking at the loooong term picture, the law of entropy will ensure that eventually the entire universe is cold dark and dead.
