I got into building various model kits when I was around 12, and after a few spaceships I decided I'd take a crack at a sailing ship. I bought the USS Constitution, Old Ironsides herself, but my mom returned it because it was a "war toy." You should have heard her explaining that to the clerks at the toy store.
