Dayton here seemed to have gotten the brunt of the storm. The low spots there are 18-20" of snow, and in some spots 24" plus! The city is basically closed down, and many area are claiming disaster area status. I let the dog out, and she had to stand to pee, as the snow was past her neck. All I could do is laugh, as she didn't know what to make of it. She is a Florida dog after all...Snow drifts are up to car windows, and I see people trying to dig the cars out, and there are many cars just left on the side of the road that are stuck.

I feel bad for the people that need to travel for the holidays, and hope that things start getting cleared so that they can be with their loved ones.

Yesterday was so exciting seeing so much snow fall, then it got kinda scary, because it would not stop, just kept on coming down. I hope everyone that does need to travel in these areas stays safe, and is very careful.

On Sunday we had a freak wind/sleet storm blow through town. 100 km winds. The temperature dropped ten degrees in six hours. The sky was a turmoil of black. We usually only see storm clouds like that in the summer, and some of them breed tornadoes. From the sounds of it, that storm blew through Canada and kept on going.

Here are a couple pictures of my street, I wish I could venture out farther, but the streets aren't plowed yet...Standing on the street, the snow was just below my knees!

wow ohiocowboy, you got way more snow then we did in Columbus, we got more of an ice-storm. I am spending the next couple of days with my gf in Springfield while I wait for the power company to get my electricity restored. It was a mistake to drive out here, I-70 is awful.
