Hey everybody! Hope those who are celebrating the holidays are having a good one, and for those who aren't, hope you are enjoying your freedom!

I have to tell you about these things I have heard recently. Too funny!

First I need to say that since being "out" I have not heard one positive statement about Jehovah's Witnesses like they claim they hear all the time. It just ain't happenin.......

Talking to a firefighter, he told me that he was on a house fire and the homeowner was pissed when they started dragging out all the porn into the front yard (during overhaul, after the fire) because he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses...........hilarious!

There was a housefire here in town the other day, the poor lady is mentally ill and decided to burn her house down because God told her it was time for her pets to die. Someone said "who is her God? she must be one of those Jehovah's Witnesses"

I have heard so many comments, negative, about them. Geez, where are all those praises that we have heard of during our time with them? Haven't heard a single ONE.

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year! or, just have a wonderful winter/summer, where ever you are!

--Krissy (btw, my husband is a firefighter, so thats why I have heard this stuff, lol)

Jw's are a legend in their own minds!

They alone are the ones that think that they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. It must be those rose colored glasses that keep blinding them to the fact that most normal people find them truly weird.

Even now, when my past comes up to people, and I tell them that I used to be a JW, they either try to give me pity, or else they start running in the opposite direction! Needless to say, it is a skeleton in the closet that I don't discuss very often to others...

The WTS regularly tells their membership how much the "world" loves them, how they're the best employees, best students, and how their reputation is top notch. The WT conditions them like this so when they hear something negative, it couldn't be possible because they have such a good reputation!

If their reputation is so wonderful, how come people slam their doors in their face, hide when they knock, and are referred to as a nutty religion or cult?

I remember sitting in the city's large entertainment centre, during the district assembly, and the bro talking about how the centres management just loved having us. We were a great company of peolpe who were well behaved and tidy.

Also, we came to the centre the day before and gave it a total clean - top to bottom - for free. Then we assign our own ushers and attendants, so their boys can just stand there and do nothing for 3 days. Then at the end, we cleaned it again - top to bottom - for free.

Sure they loved us, cause we saved them so much frigging money. Never gave a discount on the complex's hire though.

The organization thrives on praise, it's just another thing that proves they are the one true religion. Praise from those that benifit finacially from the JW assemblies,,alway rang insincere,,and embarased me as a JW when they annouced it from the platform.

That is one more example of how much double-speak JWs use. At one moment we are really loved and praised from the platform; at the next, we HAVE to be hated and prosecuted, because this has to happen to "true christians"... Go figure.

Ohh, and both times the audience goes CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP....

    Observador.

My company just had its annual Expo in Las Vegas. It was the biggest show we've ever had, with almost 6,000 attendees. Every staff member from host hotel and the Convention Center that I spoke with was gushing about how the people who were coming to that show were the best bunch of people they had ever worked with. The guys from the AV company liked us so much, they gave us $3,500-$4,000 dollars worth of rental equipment for free!

The secret? We treated them like real people. That was all there was to it. It was great! A real shining example of Christlike personality in action, and as far as I know only one person on the scene was a JW (besides me). He had some crumpled tracts in his pocket, one of which he handed me. He had no clue I was his "brother" and was the rudest, most inconsiderate person I dealt with the entire week. Most everyone else was growing facial hair, so you know they weren't "good christians" .

Happy Holidays to All! Hugs all 'round!

Remember, if you want to be a Christian, simply be like Christ! If not... then don't... I guess.

    Respectfully,
    OldSoul

Heres a good jw story you'll hear about from the friends.

Yes, there are some honest people

Tuesday, December 21, 2004 - A good Samaritan found $1,278 cash on the floor of a Subway restaurant and didn't think twice: He knew he had to find the owner and return the booty.

David Layne, 45, is a Jehovah's Witness who doesn't celebrate Christmas or believe in Santa Claus, but that's who he was Monday when he showed up at the door of distraught neighbor Veronica Engle with the money she lost.

"I am astonished. I can't believe it. I didn't think there were people around like that anymore," said Engle, 43, who cashed her paycheck at the Wells Fargo bank with plans to deposit the money in her Bank of America checking account.

It's a routine she follows twice a month to avoid a hold her bank puts on her paycheck when she deposits it into her account, she said.

But a sick child interrupted her routine.

"My daughter was running a fever when I picked her up at the bus stop. She just wanted to go home," Engle said. She made a trip to Subway that night and dropped the envelope containing the cash.

"I took $20 out of the envelope and put it back in my purse. I must not have put it in there very well," said Engle. "Later, I went to get in my purse for something and saw that the envelope was gone. I was hysterical."

Engle went back to the fast-food restaurant to search for the money, but Layne had already found the envelope and tucked it in his briefcase to make a personal delivery. The envelope had Engle's name and address on the outside.

He finally made contact with her Monday morning.

"I told her that she didn't know me, but something good was about to happen. I said, 'Did you lose something?' and then she started crying," Layne said.

Engle insisted he take a $100 reward.
