Hmmm I misread your post LOL Why would a hat matter in your house, I could see in someone elses home respect and all that. But can't your son relax in his house. My son won't wear his cover or piss-cutter in the house (that is what they call it) but he wears his baseball cap or his hat anytime...geesh H-O-M-E

I think it might also depend on the hat. My ex's son was over for dinner and got a knit beanie hat........he wore it all night. It was so cute that he liked his hat from my neighbors (it was a xmas gift). Now, if it was a pimp daddy hat or police type hat, I'd want it off.......

I guess it seems that if its their 'job' hat it should come off. Wearing a hat sometimes says that "as soon as chow is over, I'm outta here." Now, if it doesn't seem that way, who cares.........

Baseball hats.......ok

I was raised by Southerners.......... I still say "sir and ma'am" to my elders or strangers, get up for women of any age, and take my hat off in the house.

I wear western hats about 90% of the time..... Hats come off for indoor eating. Period.

Manners are always in good taste, especially when ladies are around.

So we have the issue of the hats, and what is one to do when they want to wear their pants below their waist an wanna' be Gansta'? With the issue of the hat, how much longer before the draggin' and saggin' of the leant back roccawears come off 'dere arses? I fix the hat and maybe I won't be given the privelege of having to to view the BVD's either.

As anyone familiar with the military knows, hats off indoors (unless under arms). I remember my drill sergeant telling me "The same goes for when you're in civies! If I see any o' you sons of bitches out 'n about with a hat on inside, I'm gonna smoke the shit outta you!! I don't give a shit where you are!!!

I should say that these aren't exact quotes, he did use the f word about 14 times in those 3 sentences.
