But you know in all fairness we have to say that mankind has caused a great deal of spiecies to go exstinct. So who to say that the little species man is not to do the same some day. Maybe a meteor hits the earth or a plague or a supernova or maybe his own greed. But then again it could just be that man the species achieves great hieghts of consciouness and learns to go with the flow unselfishly,,who's to say.

I was thinking the other day about the concept of identity. Personal identity. I was trying to compare identity and ego. I don't believe that either is bad or undesireable in its most basic and natural sense. I think it is less healthy when the individual identity/ego takes external lables and "wraps" itself up in them. I think this phenomenon is often associated with groups.
