Add this to the growing mountain of evidence as to how out of touch with reality the gerontocrats are: it's been decades since facial hair has lost its association with the radical counterculture.

The real reason, is it makes guys look hot, leading to immorality.

Facial hair doesn’t lead to any sin. I grew a beard one time and not one single woman was attracted to me (darn it).

    God is constant

God did not provide a natural shaving tool

    Shaving is against nature

But military rules, but prior to war Rutherfor had other reasons, already explained, for banning facial hair.

facial hair is associated with a radical element...the radical element of the 60's and the 70's. Its a bunch of hogwash horsecrap. If you dont shave, you may stumble the others in the congregation.

ok, so you're telling me Jesus was a hippie? awesome. i mean, you should be ashamed.

Ruherford went as far as to promote the idea that facial hair was the result of sin.

I must have been a naughty, naughty Danimal.

There's a popular old wives tale in England that someone with a beard has something to hide.
Fortunately that tale hasn't spread too far North of the border, as beards are still quite common in Scotland.

I wonder if it came from a genetic thing, there being a genetic trait in some parts of England to be a chinless wonder...

Little:This comment isn't meant to be at all derogatory or personal, but I'm amazed that some don't know what Russell and Rutherford looked like...

As for a sin - maybe Stilla has a point. If someone is atracted to one feature that is covered in hair, maybe it'll lead to an obsession about another. Like that excuse was ever needed, though
