The "life is so complex that it must have an inteligent designer" argument is a form of the "proving too much" logical fallacy. Much of the time this falacy can be somewhat tricky to suss out because the false conclusion that it eventually leads you to can be inferentially distant enough that it's not very obvioius. In this case, it's quite delicious how obviously the argument proves itself false.
And yet it is what the enterity of the WT's creation argument is based around. It's not surprising - WT reasoning and bad logic go hand in hand.

The complexity coming from simplicity is a good argument and can be seen happening in many ways, IF there is the right set-up existing.
If you accept the premise that there were pre-conditions in the Cosmos before the beginning of the universe*, one of these the necessity for having time through wich NOTHING moves, or need to move, --.
WE are so stuck in thinking in our 'movement THROUGH time' mode. One thing after an other. There is plenty of evidence of places, conditions with NO movement through time.
Without sequencing, there is no need to have the creator preceded by creators, like the TIME equivalent of the "turtles all the way down" space argument.

Now, now, don't be overly harsh. Their creationist stance is also based firmly on misquotes of evolutionists, misunderstanding of the scientific method, careful exclusion of damning evidence, improper application of statistics, and it's all firmed up by some quotes taken from a paranormalist with no acedemic credentials.

Maybe God does have a desinger.
But we can not understand that because we don't know everything.
And we do not understand all of the dimensions.
To our limited understanding God is outside our universe and doesnt have a begining that we can understand.

Fractals (complex) form from relatively simple equations. It's a sort of "rinse and repeat" cycle.
