when i first got my computer i stumbled on to an apostate website (could have been this one i dont remember). i was fully indoctrinated at the time and it just made me realize that the society was right there really are evil apostates out there trying to snare people away from 'the truth'.

it wasnt till about two years later that i stumbled onto another site and actually read what was being said, ordered c of c and it was over then.

Thanks to the local Witness people, no apostates were needed in Sioux Falls South Dakota. It was actually attendants at a district convention in Bismarck North Dakota who showed me the level of dishonesty in the organization.

It was actually the Society itself that offended me and many other Witness people. We were at one district convention and we were sweltering in the heat inside a rented auditorium that never had the air conditioning turned on because the Society didn't want to pay the extra money so we could be comfortable, but at the end of the convention they asked that we donate money so they could pay their expenses at the bethel commune.

Here, being a Witness was so terrible, we didn't need apostates.

Although I never spoke with an apostate prior to leaving the witnesses I did experience a full impact of an apostate at a convention in Hamilton's Copp Coliseum in Ontario one summer.

There were apostates with wolf masks on blitzing the convention. They were handing out pamphlets about something. After almost coming in body contact with one it made me feel that I was right and they were wrong. Oh how the tables have turned.

I think they had a lot of courage {apoststes as the witnesses call them }, to face all those thousands of witnesses coming out from the sessions. Brova

Occasionally we would come in contact with someone who was an X JW. Back in those days, I do not recall the term "apostate" being used.

We would ignore them; after all, we had JEHOVAH on our side.

    HAH!

In hindsite, I do believe that one must actually "live" the experience to understand what exiting that religion, and leaving it behind , is all about.

It is a very elite club which we all belong to.
