I always figured it was more for our benefit. I have found that things work out best when I live according to reality. I can't see how it matters to God what I think, but it does matter to me!

If God is Love, then Love is not jealous. Isn't love is not jealous one of the Frutages of the Spirit?
So, how can they say that Jehovah is a jealous God when Love is not jealous? -

In my most humble thoughts I think sometimes God is very complex. As said he portrays himself as a God deserving of our worship and expecting us to do so .
"I am Jehovah your God, who have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves. 3 You must not have any other gods against my face.

Then he has major wars with the surrounding nations of Isreal. He loves his people one minute and hates them the next. Just because they erred. But he is a forgiving God, so why doesn't he forgive his people. He is a God punishing world powers, yet he allows Rahab a prostitute to not be destroyed when the walls of Jericho are destroyed . Yes prostitution is fornication and adultrey. He destroys a world by a flood and yet allows some survivors. He sets King Saul up as ruler of people, but he must be killed. David rules, he has fornitcation with Bathsheba. God is love. He will destroy mankind, yet he gave to us His son Jesus, He is murdered. God resurrects him. Why did he make him die in the first place why didn't he destroy Eve for taking the fruit. God describes his qualities and what he wants us to be but, we are sinners and can't always measure up and then we are punished. He puts Satan in an abyss and makes all mankind suffer only to be tried again when satan is released from the abyss why do we have to prove our love two times isn't once enough? Jehovah says not to kill, yet he killed and he says no more wars, yet He is a God Warrior. Destructive, yet kind. Merciful ,but disfellowships, Longsuffering but makes his brothers suffer until they are killed. He says he despises lies yet the FDS lie all the time. Drunkards can't enter kingdom but Lot was drunk. He allowed incest had the two daughters of Lot make a baby from him.
Do you see where I am going with this?? It just seems all to complex. No wonder persons don't beleive in Him. He has confused us with saying one way and yet he does it another way. Don't kill He kills.
Maybe I better let this rest now.
