Believe it or not, it won't matter. YOU are the outsider, you are the non-believer, therefore anything you say is tainted in their minds.
I tried to tell the elders who abusive my mother was to me, to this day she remains such a "faithful sister" and I am of course the rebellious one that left the Org. They didn't want to hear it at all. Now if you had proof that she was having fornication or smoking, they would be all over that... but being mean and abusive - trust me they don't care. That's not on their official list. Besides you're going to be destroyed at Armeggedon, so your feelings don't matter.
I think you need to stand up to her, stick up for yourself and tell her to either be nice and respectful to you or else she's not welcome in your home or life. But I do feel sympathy for you, being married to her son and all. Sending you the very best.
