    Amarillo Globe-News

A Perryton church suffered more than $70,000 in damage after catching fire Saturday morning.

The Perryton Fire Department responded to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 701 S. Colgate St., at 6 a.m. Saturday after a neighbor smelled smoke, Chief Paul Dutcher said in a news release.

Firefighters arrived to see heavy smoke coming from the northwest corner of the building, and they discovered the fire in the church library, Dutcher said. Fire also spread to the church's attic, causing severe damage to the roof, he said.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by 6:35 a.m., Dutcher said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials found suspicious evidence at the scene, Dutcher said. http://www.amarillo.com/stories/010205/new_943235.shtml

Not surprising with all those satanic books filled with apostate ideas from the early years that it was the library which caught on fire.

I did not have pyromaniacal relations with that building, the Kingdom Hall.

You guys are way off- Jeehoover allowed the blaze to occur (probably used Satan) so that all of the "brothers" with their carpet cleaning / resoration companies would have work for all the slacker-dubs that work for them and so they could build a new hall and SHOW everyone their brotherly love before the community.

    Have a clue!

    Information from the WTS:

"Fortunately, the arson happened while most good brothers and sisters were home studying their Watchtower for the Sunday meeting. Isn't it a blessing that Jehovah protects his loyal servants!"

I am not condoning crimal activity at all.. but I am wondering... I do think the society is self-insured right? If every KH everywhere would burn down all at once, would they go bankrupt?

They probably would have more donations than ever, who knows.
