Your right, every time disaster strikes religion suddenly becomes important again. What a hypocrite to even say something like "I hope you change your mind". I absolutely hate that when wannabe JW's try and lay a guilt trip on those of us who finally see the light.

I don't know why organized religion (regardless of flavour) is getting short shift, here. It's a human preoccupation, as Gumby alluded to. There are still some majorly superstitious inclinations to be found in mankind, regardless of beliefs or lack thereof...
I do agree that those who promote an "end-times" theology, and hype up every natural occurance and/or war, are guilt of scaremongering. The WTS is at the forefront of that particular business.
That is not the case with every religion/denomination, though.
i would get angry/annoyed with the people that would basicly put on a show after either a disaster, or during the CO visit.
