i heard jeff, on a radio show abbout a year ago. and even called in. he's very knowledgeable about the jw's and exposes the wt as well as any one here. i'm sure Jeff will do a professional job, and inlighten any uninformed householder that may be watching. in stead of bitching that he's a catholic. we should be calling in to the program and help him. john

Jeff, When I was studying to be a witless, I wrote a letter to my Archdiocese renouncing my Catholic Baptism. Am I really unbaptized, and if I wanted to re-up with the Church, would I have to re-baptize? Or would they consider my renunciation as just a moral hiccup? Or would I be considered as 'a man without a country'? thanks

Little Red Hen,
I speak from experience. When I left the Church (against the priest's advice) I soon was baptized a Jehovah's Witness. When I returned to the Church that same priest never required me to be re-baptized Catholic. I had been baptized as a baby. I did, however, make a profession of faith in his presence. This was in 1966; I have since forgotten what it entailed, but I think it was something similar to what we profess at Easter time.

Hi Kenneson:
My wife was raised Catholic and then came back to the Church. She attended RCIA with me since I had never been Catholic. To come home to the Church she was just required to go to confession and then do a profession of faith and that was it. It was really quite simple. Plus the priests we encountered were very helpful.

thanks, kenneson and jeff. Just wondered. I kinda went away mad, back when girls were new to the accolyte position. I got into it with a priest over being an alter server. Later on, he was exposed for the porn makin pedofile he was. guess I was not to his taste .

I always find it interesting to see where ex Witnesses go once they leave. I joined the United Church of Christ, but no longer attend. I also appreciate what David says about being fair and objective. From my own experience I was much more likely to listen to "apostate propaganda" when it made sense, was supported by facts, and did not seem to be motivated out of pure malice.
