CLASSIC Book! I remember this one!
I wathn't thscared for a moment.............I just wanted to support this thread!
That was my favorite book when I was little. I had it memorized before I could even read.
Thanks for the memories
hehe Leolaia, cute. you just know the minute someone tells us "apostates" not to do something, we're gonna go right ahead and do it
my son loved that book when he was little. in fact, "Grover" was one of the first words he ever read. there's a street called Grovers and i was driving him to daycare and he said "Grovers" when we were stopped at the light. i thought, ok, he's remembering...thinking he couldn't possibly be reading yet. he was only 18 months old. that afternoon, i picked him up and took out his books and sure enough, he was reading. then i wrote simple words on paper to see if he wasn't just remembering what he read, and he read those too. the next day, miss tammy from the toddler room called me at work and i thought something was wrong, but she said oh no i just called to tell you he was reading! she said the hair on the back of her neck stood up. anyway, i saved every one of his baby books, and it's fun to look at them sometimes, and even better sharing them with him
I am either too old, or I was deprived of that book. I'll trade the little pink book or the big yellow one for that one. Anyone want to trade?
I thought of that book when I read the title, and thought... "....naaaaw".
Thanks for posting that! My little brothers loved that book, and we enjoyed reading it to them.

I had completely forgotten about this book, but as soon as I read the title to your thread, I knew what it was. I used to love that book. I read it to my sister and brother. Too cute. :)
It was one my favorite books too. It actually was my sister's book, but I loved reading it too. Is Grover your favorite Sesame Street muppet? Or are you more a Kermit, Snuffy, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Count, or Bert & Ernie sort of person? I loved them all but Kermit was my favorite.
Although I really loved that one muppet that only appeared in a single sketch that they played a lot in the '70s. It was a real wacky groovy hipster muppet that irritated the heck out of this muppet with a huge nose who wanted to talk about shapes, and this other muppet always did crazy things with the shapes -- especially covering the screen with multicolored circles. I just googled it and unbelievably there is a webpage on it:

That one always had me in stitches!
