Mine seems faster. There are a bunch of addons (extensions) @ https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/?application={ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}

The only downside to that tweak is that it hammers websites, which is not good netiquette.
