What does this tells us about evolution?
Either this is a hoax, or we are on the cusp of an evolutionary leap, which according to my research so far always required the catalyst of a massive extinction event... Hopefully we can watch it happen without dying.
Lots of creatures carry vestigial genes - memes for features that are not active but could be triggered by a mutation.
In this case, it looks more like something stuck on or the leg of a creature sticking out rather than any sort of mutation.
Of course if a snake (an adapted lizard?) did have legs then would it really prove the bible myth? Doesn't it prove evolution just as much or do people believe god chose to give that particular snake one deformed leg?

It would prove evolution. There is absolutely no real reason for the bible myth, the myth isn't even based on anything the bible says really. It's PESHER to take from one of Terry's threads.
now if this snake opened its mouth and said, "bitch stop hitting me with that shoe!" I'd say it proved something....
I agree with UtR, this looks like a photo of a dead snake which, from the shape of its middle has swallowed a lizard and subsequently had the skin punctured so that a leg could protrude.
Darwin was charged with the questions like, “If animals are evolving why there are no transitional species today?” Creationists including JWs continue to ask it. An answer is skinks. They are found in the tropics in many different species and shapes. Some come legless like snakes, some with rudimentary legs and the common Australian type is a regular four legged reptile.
The book of Genesis however has every evidence of being an imaginative explanatory tale embroidering ancient myths.
The idea of transitional creatures is completely based on the mentality that there has to be a design somewhere.
There is no such thing as a transitional creature until it has evolved into something else. It supposes that there is some blueprint that it's trying to reach - the reality is that the environment is always favouring the creatures best suited to survive in it and those with the best chance to reproduce then pass on their traits which become dominant.
Over time this can mean the species changes, stays the same or may die out if the environment changes to no longer benefit those traits.
What Simon said.
If its genuine it is an atavistic feature, like people who are born with tail.
like people who are born with tail
Surely we just declare them demons and run screaming from the room ... right?
