doinmypart, sounds like the elders have not been obedient boys. I know that it has griped some elders that one congregation body allows certain things and others don't.

Sounds like certain people in that congregation are opening their eyes to the control tripping going on inside the borg. Maybe you'll soon have a couple of close friends to hang out with, minimus!

    Love ya

Hey minimus! The good news is that you might now be in a better position to witness to a Witness! Hehe!

How's your friend coping? Sounds like your friend is a far more balance man than the men on the "body". Clearly they felt threatened by someone who choses to think for themselves. Your friend is far better off, that is if he's ready to expose to himself what the borg is really all about.

Congrats on your kids wedding :-)

Maybe they're just testing your friend. ..................... Maybe they'll use him as an example to the rest. ......................... Can they really afford to kick them aside like that? .................=20 wp

it is them vs us mentality, .jw vs false religion or if you are not wiht us you are against us.

have mercy they dont know what they are doing

think about you having a prominent position in the Republican party and then Bush see you in video tape having fun and celebrating with Bin Laden, or even at a Democrat party party.

no amount of excuses will change their mind.

For instance, when an elder who had served for years in Central America was deleted, he said: "It hurts me very much to have lost the privilege that I have treasured for so long. But I am going to work hard in whatever way the brothers want to use me and work to recover my privileges of service." In time, this brother was privileged to serve as an elder again***.

***Reading that part brought a f!@#$*g tear to my eye...

    Minimus,

As many have said, maybe his "deletion" wil turn out to be an excellent opportunity for him to grow.

These elders really don't understand what mercy is all about. The WT indirectly teaches them to be modern day Pharisees.

    doinmypart,

Of course I don't have that letter since it was read by the CO. Many of the CO letters have been stricter over the past 3 or 4 years.

Since the BOE letters started being published in the internet, they restricted the number of letters that go straight to elders' hands. The juicy ones go only to the CO, who reads them to the Bodies of Elders.

At the last CO & DO meeting w/Elders at the Circuit Assembly Elders were told we have been mistakenly shown mercy on judicial committees and not to be quick to reinstate someone DF.

I remember that post you've made. That's clear evidence that the Bethel hardliners are the ones in charge. No room for the moderate ones. They are too Christlike...

My friend told me that Brother ** LAST WEEK went to his DISFELLOWSHIPPED sister's wedding ! He was the Service Overseer in our congregation. Now he and his wife are serving where the need is greater and learning a new language by means of the Society's program. My friend knows of it but won't say anything. I do respect this "older man".....I would've made sure it got out.

I hope he does not take it all to heart; this could be DEVASTATING to him if he takes it all seriously.

I hope he does take it all seriously and comes to the realization of what this religion really is.

    Observador.
