... HS ... Stop stiring on people
Actually who cares where those who got more than 120 got more than 120 !!! ... (it won't change anyonce life ) The only problem would be that they feel so intelligent that they miss "the real thing" or disregard those, they think are less intelligent GLOBALY than them ! ... That's all ... again only their loss then ...
FrenchbabyFace,
Actually who cares where those who got more than 120 got more than 120 !!!
There is no greater liar than the person who lies to themselves. I have seen so many of IQ threads on this board over the past four years and they each have the same pattern. I am just trying to ascertain what is so shameful about having an average IQ. Civilizations are built by the average and endangered by the brilliant.
And of course, I like to stir things as well, as you note.
Best regards - HS
Good Grief, Hillary. Why are you so worked up over this that you would call people you hardly know liars?

Ok I see ... yeah right what's wrong with that Damni't !!!
Civilizations are built by the average and endangered by the brilliant.
not sure it's always true, it is still a question of mentality to me ...or
And of course, I like to stir things as well, as you note.
... you joker !!! ...
Jeannie,

I am worked up over this? If so it is news to me.
I am not calling any individual a liar, I am just asking for evidence of their claims. Is that not allowed.

HAHAHAHA... I've read your posts. I'm betting you come in at a gazillion at least... Jean edited to add; I *see* you there Valis, and I think you left out the first dozen numbers in your score.

I've noticed the same thing.
The average IQ in the United States is usually set at 100 . Groups within the US score different average IQ's, such as 115 for college grads or 85 for African-Americans. Similarly, average IQ varies from country to country, shown in the 2002 book IQ and the Wealth of Nations:National Average IQ's based on Britain = 100. (USA lower at 98) Click 3 nations for more on Chinese, Jewish, and Hispanic IQ's:

So, on average, IQ is roughly 100. This makes sense because it stands for intelligence quotient. Oversimplifying, it is your intellectual age divided by your chronological age. So, 100 is by definition average. There are variations that can be caused by social-economic conditions, language, or cultural differences.

It never ceases to amaze me that the vast majority of participants in on-line discussion boards are in the top 1% of the population. In fact, there are usually a handful of Einsteins in the group. I guess we must just be smarter than everyone else.
By the way, don't trust online IQ tests.
