Wifey went through about two years of it then got on an herbal thingy an acupunturist in Israel recommended and it went away immediately..Can't remember what it was but she drank three glasses of tea a day, which she liked. Some kind of holopathic mix...
Good luck.

I'd be real interested in knowing more about what kind of tea it was... <pant, pant, pant...> <shiver, shiver> <pant, .....

I went through it about 9 years ago, and breezed through using herbs. Dong Quai, Black Cohosh, Licorice Root and a blend, that I can't remember. I had night sweats for awhile, but then everything calmed down.
Hubby loved it.
personally i love menopause and also, i love PMS.
wooo hooo. thank the gods for both of them!
IS that why my wife wants it all the time and I only \want it once per week?
my hubby had his levels checked and he had a testosterone decrease and the doc put him on patches which did very little and then he tried him on androgel and wow, did he start feling better. Lack of testosterone not only effects your sex life but all of u. U may easly fatigued, irritable, moody, lose zest in your usual interests, gain extra weight around your belly, and of course lose interest in sex. amazing what a little (as determined by blood tests) will do for your outlook on life. weds
Well country girl, even though I am a man, I feel obliged to help you all I can.
My wife is past menopause. However she still has "hot flashes".
I find it is safer and life is more tranquil if I refer to the hot flashes as (POWER SURGES).
Somehow that seems to sooth her mind and is safer for my shins.

HAHAHAHHAHA Outofhteorg...!!!! I am sure you feel obliged to help me, and that is good, because I've gotten a lot of good help on this thread. Men go through it, too? * I SCREAM IN LAUGHTER! Menopause is a HORRIBLE thing and it should be shunned like a bad apostate. <snort>
Thanks for all of your tips and helps. I think I am going to go the herbal way like Mulan, and try to solve my problems that way. Ummm.. does anyone have a double barreled rifle? <looks around>
BTW Wednesday, I didn't want you to feel like I didn't read your post or anything. Thanks for all the information, all of you, I appreciate it alot. I am scared and silly about this menopause thing, but now that I see that it's not such a big deal, I can more easily live with it.
