Ashton, I'm sorry for your abuse. I was sexually "assaulted" by the fa-in-law of an elder while I was cleaning their house. I was a teen and ran out never going back. In the last few years I found out he had been molesting his granddaughter. He had also molested his daughter. I never told anyone as I didn't want to bring reproach on the elder and his family who were good friends. Silly me!

I'm not absolutely sure in this case, but it usually means Public Service Announcement. Since it is from the watchtower, it might mean pubic shaving announcement. I'm not sure.

Dave...good idea. I think it's very ironic that CBS is running a JW/Watch out for child molester spot while NBC/Dateline, and others, have done stories on the Dub/Molest issue. Brenda...no I forgot to mention Silent Lambs. If anyone else sees that thing again please post where you saw it...what network, time, etc. So far CBS is the only one I've seen it on.

Emails don't do anything, they can easily be deleted. The only way to get something "done" is by send a letter -- at least this is my experience.
Which PSA was it exactly? I went to the link and all their PSAs involving children and family are listed as "No longer available." What's up with that?

Thank you, as I posted in the abuse section, it was my grandfather (a CO, MS, and then Elder) who molested myself and his daughter. She never told, but she wrote some things in a journal that described some odd behavior. Her mother mother obviously felt that it was damaging enough to burn the journal once I made them aware of what was in it. I don't know if my telling made it worse for her, and I don't know if it ever stopped, or how old she was when it stopped, but we do suspect that it started as early as infancy. I finally told when I was 18, but by then it was too late and he denied it anyway. Since he denied it, the elders dropped the case and nothing ever happened to him.
I'm 37 now and I still have unresolved issues from this.

Thanks "Bone" that was a very courageous thing you did, thanks bud from a father of an abused daughter from the hall of those stinky JW's and their unreasonable policies. We should all send CBS such like letters, give us all the scoop on how to do so. Shane
Merrymag...It's the PSA that shows a young girl "chatting" to someone on the evil internet while a voiceover says somethings like..."yes he knows all about you...he knows what you like", etc and you see type on her screen that is something to the effect that this person has tickets to a concert for her...blah blah...and finally the camera dissolves to "his" screen and then pulls away to reveal...A DIRTY OLD MAN, in his undershirt complete with beer can. Hmmm, I wonder if they used a GB member for the part? Oh yeah, at the very end it shows a good little perfect JW family and says something about listening to words from the bible and quotes a scripture...and has an 800# up for a very short time.
