No one is. If they truly knew what they were getting into they would run away like mad.

I didn't have the slightest idea!!! No wonder Jesus got baptized so old! He set the example as to how old a person needs to be.

This is one of the subjects that I voice my opinion loud and clear. No children, no matter how mature and committed to the religion they might seem. Kids just don't have the mental and emotional capacity to understand what they're getting into.

I don't think I really understood what I was doing. I knew that getting baptized would really make my dad happy. I knew that some of my closest friends either had already or were about to do it. I knew all the "right" answers to the questions. But I honestly did it to make my parents happy. After so many years of disappointing them, I felt I owed it to them to do something "right" for a change. Now, I'm sad that I didn't understand the seriousness of it.

If you're too young to drive, too young to drink, too young to get married - you're too young to commit yourself to a religious organization. If you're committing yourself to God then I'd like to think that He'd understand why you'd want to wait.

    I don't think I really became an "adult" until I hit 30.

So I had no idea what I was getting into when I was a teen getting baptized. What a joke having teens and pre-teens get baptized. A cruel joke!

I realized that I was dedicating myself to God. I didn't realize that I was dedicating myself to bunch of men in the form of the Governing Body and that I should never question what they say.

I was 11 when I was baptized, and like it was said before... i understood as much as an 11 year old could possibly understand.

I think I did it more so I would be able to pass the mics like I used to when I lived in Puerto Rico. They let unbaptized people there carry them.

no way i was baptized at the ripe old age of 13. I just did it because my friends were doing it and it seemed the right thing to do at the time. Boy do I regret that
