With the help that people get from the WTBTS, how are people supposed to survive ? People do have to work more and more and it's not only so they can have more and more , the cost of living is getting ridiculous with all the corporate downsizing and moving over seas people are having to find jobs that pay less just to keep what they have and work more hours . The bible does stress hard work , if a man puts you into service for one mile you must go with him for two and so on . If the bible was written for the anointed only, then I would have to say the parts about public preaching are directed at the anointed .Another point I have is that women were never commanded to preach or even to participate in the meetings when men were present . They have worked great evil toward women by forcing them into things that were not meant to be . I think public meetings were meant to be more than just a 2 hour indoctrination but also a gathering including food and drink where people could enjoy each others company by praying and singing . I don't see any mention of having to attend every meeting in the bible either.

I thinks Im going to make the comment today on the last paragraph that we have a month or so until we consider that report as a group so why not look at it very carefully and even compare it to last year's report.

I'm sure my wife will see right through my comment but maybe some will do it and actually see the downward spiral.

    WillyLoman,

I really liked your point that Witnesses would be speechless if challenged intellectually at the door. To me, that is the ultimate proof of the caliber of their training, and indeed their message. If your message cannot stand up to a random intelligent mind, how good is it? Really now!

?.any material benefits he provided were temporary?.well, if was good enough for jesus, then it should be good enough for anyone.

But Jesus did not come to earth merely to do a social work. He came to bear witness to the truth?.any material benefits he provided were temporary?.only by bearing witness to the truth could he help some to gain everlasting life (CARROT).

Today, some individuals try to imitate Jesus? good works by opening hospitals or performing other services among the poor. In some cases, they do this at great personal cost, and their sincerity is commendable:

    But

Any relief they supply is temporary at best.

Does this quote not burn you up? I couldnt believe this when I read it.
