I didn't realize that comatose people were aware of their surrondings, let alone people present in the room with them.
Any highly centrally-controlled organization runs in to this same problem. In order to maintain control, independent thinkers and those who speak their mind are purged. All that is left is "yes-men". The problem with yes-men is that you can never be sure what they really think. Also, they will not tell you if you are making a colossally bad decision, and will feed you comforting information rather than facts.
An interesting side-note in history was when Jimmy Carter was elected president. Conservative USSR was rooting for the incumbent. A conservative organization, they preferred the known to the unknown. The KGB reassured their Russian leaders that Jimmy Carter would definitely lose. Was the KGB information network hopelessly inept, or was it more politically savvy to tell their leaders what they wanted to hear? The irony of it, is that Mr. Carter was not a threat to the USSR at all.
I would not be surprised at all if the Governing Body have been advised that the current unease in the organization is a result of a tiny minority of apostate thinkers. Purge the organization, and all will be well again. Bad advice. They will start hemmoraging the intelligent ones in droves now.
Smart leaders keep their independent thinkers.

With all the very clear information on the internet exposeing the Governing Body thate soon some higher up will get deprogramed that have been privy to some very damaging information perhaps from the accounting or the legal department that could send thier asses to jail. They must feel very lonely and worried at all they see disintergating before thier eyes.
I tried very hard to care for their predicament but in the end.......

Anyway, for my little bit of back-up to what meta asserted: It's totally correct.
And to the topic: an example of how men and women of conscience can, and will, turn against the WTS...in spite of decades in "service," and once you listen to the little nagging gremlins on your shoulder.
My reference to the Nethinim in terms of "friends" of the WTS was not intended to mean that the GB can "trust" them to continue the WTS "as given"...but that the Nethinim would continue the WTS as an "entity."
After all, "anointed" or not, the mortality of these guys is facing them square and hard in the face.
I wonder if they are as comfortable with that as I am?
