Free Will, this is a board full of people who will talk about there most personal moments to a bunch of total strangers while including name, age, gender, city, state info. Some even go as far as posting their pictures. It's pretty reasonable for this guy would ask them to take the next step and put their lives on film.
Honestly, this guy kind of reminds me of that dude with the barn in Blair witch II, but for me that's all the more reason to talk to him.
Even if he's not legit what's the worst thing that could happen?

you are right, but i think most people unload because they can do so without a face or voice. i think that the majority of posters (i could be wrong) on the board do not post their picture - but for those who do - good for them. those are brave and self confident people.
i suppose i would have felt differently if the question came from a poster in his 100th post not his first.
but that's just me.

Some here are so well known by the WTBTS they have every little bit of slander they have received about us from the local dubs on file just 'in case' so a picture is no big deal. I just wish they still were spying on the house and watching for me in town like they used to do between the time I confronted them with the truth about their interfaith and UN affiliations and told them the GB is just as apostate as their daddy Satan.

Focus on this site and sites like these, along with the experiences that many of us all share and you'll have a monumental project on your hands, worthy of at least a Peabody award, if not more. If you can do it, it would give immediate national exposure to the growing trend of exiting individuals who are awakening from the cultish environment that is Jehovah's Witnesses. And you'd probably make a few million in the offing.

He didn't ask for your social security number... he asked if you wanted to willingly participate. That could mean a simple email with comments. If he's interested I am sure before you invited anyone into your home you would take normal precautions.
I don't know though,,, my JW mother popped by my house tonight to drop off a music box she bought me at Goodwill, she had a lady in her car filled with stuff to the ceiling and I asked what was going on. Well, seems like when she went to Goodwill the lady turned out to be a Witness and had some problems with her roomate, so my mom decided right there and then to move her into her own home. So she's moving in. Some people go to Goodwill to buy things, my mother does and picks up people to live in her house too.

I hate to play the negative role here....but....most theatre and movie going people will not be interested in a single religious entity, especially a tiny one. Have you thought about incorporating a larger scale cult type influence that includes JW's? Rather than covering only JW's, include other well known cults and mention JW's as an aside. Topically speaking, JW's are nothing in the movie/documentary industry. Sure, most people have heard of them, but how many really know about them? This may be a hit on atomfilms.com with the anti-JW movement, but I wouldn't expect this to do well on an international scale.
The only way to draw attention to the JW's in this sort of medium is to make a documentary about several cults. Of course, I would love to see you prove me wrong...

I'd be willing to be interviewed, but I hardly think you'll want to come all the way over here when you've got so many xjws over there. Good luck!
