Some of my favorites sorry I don't know who to attribute them to:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: WOO HOO- What a Ride!"
Be yourself, you have to be somebody and everyone else is already taken.
When the pain of being what you are becomes grater than our fear of letting go.....we will risk and heal and grow.
Good intentions are no substitute for action; failure usually follows the path of least persistence.
Self esteam like water seeks it's own level.
It?s the journey not the arrival maters.
We are the Borg. Prepare to be assimulated resistance is futile.
Forgiveness is freeing--for your self as well as for others. It frees you from carrying the burden of past resentments. It allows you to release the past so that all your energy can be fully available for the present. Forgiveness is the ultimate gift you can give yourself.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I contend that we are both atheists, I just believe in one less god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all other possible gods, then you will know why I dismiss yours. - Stephen F. Roberts
I found exactly the same quote yesterday, when I followed a link by another poster.
I was so impressed by it I printed it out and stuck it on my notice board in the kitchen. A VERY powerful statement indeed.
I also liked:
Eskimo: "If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?" Priest: "No, not if you did not know." Eskimo: "Then why did you tell me?" Annie Dillard
My favorite:
When the blind lead the blind, you get a dynasty of assholes.
Here's 2 I like:
1) "The real questions are the ones that obtrude upon your consciousness whether you like it or not, the ones that make your mind start vibrating like a jackhammer, the ones that you "come to terms with" only to discover that they are still there. The real questions refuse to be placated. They barge into your life at the times when it seems most important for them to stay away. They are the questions asked most frequently and answered most inadequately, the ones that reveal their true natures slowly, reluctantly, most often against your will." --Ingred Bengis, Combat in the Erogenous Zone
2) "If you can't make a mistake, you can't make anything." --?

Youth is such a wonderful thing, it is a pity it is wasted on the young.
