Think of all the failed prophecies that the Watchotwer propagated.
Think of the lies and deceit they have fed us.
Yet, they keep finding excuses as to why doctrine changes.
The person writing these articles knows how to react when JWs disagree or are disillusioned.
This person has to make a conscious thought about how to counteract any perceived discouragement
and formulate a response to it, while
at the same time
deceiving himself - or is he deceiving himself?
If you wrote an article on prophecy, and it were proved wrong by the passing of time and events
would you still maintain your belief system while refuting challenges to your article?
How do they do it?
I mean, take 1975 for example - human leaders invented this, they believed it and they taught it
When 1976 arrived, they were proved wrong. They blamed the bad publicity on the rank and file.
They tried to say, "we never said it."
And they disfellowship those who outspokenly disagreed with the whole thing.
One can't help but feel, that when JW leaders deceive, cover-up, and make excuses for their errors in the name of unity, while still believing that they are God's channel; they must have a certain malevolence about themselves.
