They say you can vote in an election-----but try it! By doing so, it is reported that one can be considered "disassociated"......Any other examples??

Exposing the fact that a JW child molester can remain in good standing, even if they are convicted in a court of law.

Exposing the fact that JW child molesters maintain access to unsuspecting JW families with children, and attend circuit assemblies and district conventions, with no restrictions or surveillance on their activities.

Odrade, that was my daughter's wedding......How about large gatherings? I knew elders that were censured because they went to a reception type of get together. (I was there). No one carried on inappropriately but because the Society was on a rampage to not have large gatherings, some bigshots that were there got the CO on their backs.

None - I'm out and completely free now

The only "conscience matters" I have to deal with are my OWN conscience - which does stab at me from time to time. But now it's a good thing - I listen to it and it keeps me going the right direction - like letting me know when I've hurt someone's feelings and need to make amends, or reminding me that it's unhealthy when I have a craving for a cigarette.

Our conscience is supposed to be a good thing - it's that small whisper that helps us maneuver through this world. But the JW's are taught not to listen to their own conscience - they trade their own conscience's voice for the voice of the borg. And the borg has completely re-defined the word "conscience" to mean "what we say". It's sad. It took me many years to get over that and find my own conscience - but now that I have I am really glad.
