I would return the call, meet with him, let him unload everything, then say, "Are you kidding me?!" "You ignore me on the street, but now you need something you call me up for help?!"

    That's what I'd do.

When someone says that it is a favor, they are implying friendship. We ususally only do favors for those that we are close to. Obviously this man is in no way your friend, or would even think of doing a favor for you. I would do as was already mentioned.. Call him and tell him to call a "brother or sister."

Make sure you get it in writing, or they'll stiff you.

Don't forget to have 2 witnesses... these bastards will look for any "loophole", to legally shaft you! All I can say is WHAT BALLS!

Aren't you even curious as to what he wants???

Can't you at least get the inside scoop...then ignore him???

Ok ok, I know - I should show more christian attitude, turn the other cheek, and call this person back.

Umm, NOT! What a loser; ignore you in public, pick your pocket behind closed doors!

    Not in a million years.

    I know which cheeck I'd turn .

I certainly would not return the call. If he called me back and I happened to answer the telephone I would let him know I was not comfortable having any dealings (how's that for karma) with him.

Kharma baby!! They do have wonderful nerve...even if they weren't JW and this was someone that has treated you badly..whatever!!

If they call you back & you actually get to talk to them...just say "umm...no" and click...easily done!

Ok ok, I know - I should show more christian attitude, turn the other cheek, and call this person back. But - I choose to ignore the call. I guess it's better than calling back and spewing out all of the things I'd REALLY like to say .

oh hell no.. you have the RIGHT attitude!

if she calls again.. say.. I'm sorry? were you talking to me?

At first I was going to say ignore the call, sleep on it until your figure out a plan. But I like Bryan's idea better.

why should you have to "turn the other cheek'? Business is Business.

Why do you have to do them a favor?

IF the person is callous enough to call you back, you can ask them WHY THEY ARE SUDDENLY ABLE TO TALK TO YOU? This is not an unreasonable question given the circumstance. Why can they shun you and treat you with no respect and then suddenly call you when they need professional help?

These Jehovahs Witnesses can really change hats quickly.....yes, I like the one with the feather in it.....

Of course if you like them and just want to be nice; this is your opportunity. As to charging them a professional fee for your professional services; you can always do that, but I would not be expecting them to pay you anytime soon.

.."screw me once; shame on you. Screw me twice; shame on me...."

Personally I think you did the right thing.
