As AlmostAtheist pointed out, it begins "That's how I imagine a tribute to Hunter S. Thompson should begin."
It's called fiction, people. I've read a lot of Stephen King that would be pretty scary if it were true, too.

um see the sky, there are links to the newspaper and a link to the AP which makes it rather obvious from where the story came from...
*L:OL* it doesn't suprise me at all that his death sparks conspiracy theories, nor does it suprise me that his crazy ass was inclined to believe such blather about the WTC destruction...definitely in bat country.
