Will Adam be forgiven?

According to the Watchtower theology, Adam will never experiment resurrection for eternal life.

Yet, among the early church father's, Irenaus of Lyon believed that Adam would experiment resurrection and forgiveness for his desobedience, on account of the fact that, although created perfect, he has almost no experience at all we being put to the test by the devil.

What is your opinion on that matter?

The Society's view is an arbitrary one, and not even original to Russell who believed that all would experience a resurrection. According to early Jewish and Christian belief, as represented in the Apocalypse of Moses, Adam was received into Paradise after he died. The Testament of Abraham places Adam into the role of eschatological judge, a role accorded to Enoch or the Son of Man in other intertestamental Jewish texts.

I think the main purpose of that view was just another fear tactic. Along the lines of "Adam wont be resurrected, so its possible you wont if you dont follow our bullshit".

Actually, I do believe during CTR's time they believed that Adam and Eve would be resurrected.

    And during Rutherford's time:

"Just when Adam will be awakened, only the Lord knows. It may be early or it may be late during the period of restoration" (J. F. Rutherford, Reconciliation, pp. 323, 324).

I do not think human beings can presume to know the mind of God - even the GB should not presume they do not know

Since I beleive God is "all-knowing", I believe He knew that Adam would "fail"..... or did he fail? Seems like it was part of GODs plan all along.... therefore, I think Adam is just fine.... part of the plan.

I think Adam will always rise again just because he SEEMS to be dead he's always back in the next episode... Wait we WERE talking about Adam West right???

Seriously it would be hard for the biblical Adam to be forgiven and brought back to life since he never existed to begin with!

May you have peace! May I respond? Thank you!

Adham will be resurrected, for there will be a resurrection... of the righteous AND the unrighteous, just as revealed to John when the sea gave up those dead in it and death and Hades gave up those dead in them. While Adham died in the flesh, he must still be JUDGED... in the spirit. As to whether he will get life... or judgment... God shows mercy to whomever He wishes to show it.

Adham has not yet been resurrected, for neither resurrection has occured, whether first or second. The first resurrection will occur when my Lord returns, when those who died in union with him during his presence are resurrected... at the same that those in union with him who did not die are changed... into spirit bodies. Thus, he that has died will be brought to life, and he that has not died, will never die. This occurs at the start of the 1,000 years where Christ's brothers rule with him for that specified period of time.

The second resurrection occurs "after the 1,000 years have ended." At that time, the co-rulership ends, and the kingdom is turned over to the Father, who sits down to judge. This is depicted by both Daniel and John. Once that "Judgment" is over, the kingdom is returned to my Lord, who rules... as head... forever and ever.

Please do not let the WTBTS judgmental, condemnatory propaganda mislead you. It is false and shows that they do NOT know God... nor His Son.

    I bid you peace.

Here's my premise, NO. I've struggled with this question and since we don't have the 'mind' of our Creator I can only surmise.

We don't know the 'time' element of of man's 'perfect' state of existence. We can't say that about his perfection, that's is, how perfect was he? Its out of the question. We do know that Satan is going to get the 'chair.' Now, wasn't he perfect at one time?

The account in Genesis is an interesting story, Gen. 3:1-13. When Adam violated his Father's command he went 'hiding.' Jehovah 'kept' calling out to him. Why didn't he answer? He said, "...I was afraid because I was naked..." Jah asks, "Who told you that you were naked?" Then he asks, "From the tree from which I commanded you not to eat have you eaten?"

Here's the part that got me to thinking. If Adam had just come out and admitted his error it would have been to his favor BUT no, instead, he said, "The women whom YOU gave me,..." he blamed Jehovah for his error. How many of us have been caught and made an excuse/lie or fingered someone else to avoid 'shame' and punishment? Didn't Adam feel shame by hiding?

I've actually caught my paper boy breaking my windows and to this day, he said he never did it! The feeling of guilt and shame is ever so powerful we allow it to control us.

Have you ever done something and never admit to it? WHY? On yesterday's Winfrey show this Dr. said, 1 out of 25 people do 'not' have a conscience!

Anyways, those are my thoughts, I could say more.

Christiand believe that Christ died for all mankind because they are all sinners. How did Adam get to be shunned. All the poor guy did was bite an apple. Perhaps he was post operative after having a rib stolen while he was asleep?
