I have this book.
This is what the forward has to say:

Also there is one page written in Rutherfords handwriting and signed by him. This wis what it says:

Hey Rich, yeah I got one. Rutherford put his name on a lot of books. But some think much of the writing was done by Freddie Franz. I've heard the set referred to as 'Rutherford's Rainbow'. I have 'em all.
It isn't all that rare. If its in very good condition, you may spend as much as $25. It goes down from there.

Yes, "Enemies" was published in 1937.
A companion book is "Religion" and was published in 1940.
These books reveal that Rutherford taught that ALL religion is a snare and a racket.
It seems the terms "false religion" and "true religion" cannot be found in these books.
The term "all religion" is found several times.

or impure woman, which is called "Babylon".
Therefore all religions are of Babylon,

If you lived as a JW back then, you would hve had to accept this book as absolute truth, unquestionable facts, emminating directly from Jehovah's mouthpiece and channel. It had to be accepted and taught and preached about in field service. If a person did not accept it, they were viewed as a goat like one, not the right heart condition.
Whats the difference today? Flash forward 60 years ahead..... If JWs still exist, the books released in 2010s will be viewed the same way as JWs today view books like the "Harp of God" or "Enemies" irrelevant, and old light. yet JWs today are convinced that what they believe is right, just as JWs back then were convinced they were, just like future JWs will believe they are, yet they believe distinctly different things... Who is correct, and when is it truth?
At what point is former truth considered apostate?
