I also have a pretty big wishlist of books I would love to include if I had them, such as the TDNT or the Dictionary of Deities and Demons.

I've got one of those too; the problem is that a lot of religious books are low production, so they cost more... like I'm looking at a bible commentary that comes from the University of Navarre in Spain that costs over 200$ US. Needless to say, I need to get a job.

Countless Bibles (because I'm too lazy to count them or list them here...they were my husband's purchases), Bible commentaries, Books on cults, several dictionaries, countless books on gardening, computer books, children's books (for the grandkiddies), various self-help books on forgiveness (which haven't helped a bit), books on dieting (which also haven't helped a bit), quite a few novels and non-fiction type books, camping books, probably a hundred cook books (thus leading to the purchase of the diet books) and other miscellaneous books too numerous to mention and I doubt that anyone read this anyway!

About 3,500 books, I estimate. About 80 Bible versions; lots of commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons, grammars and word studies; a fairly extensive Watchtower collection; lots of books on JWs; lots on history, history of religion, history of the ancient middle east; general science, archaeology, paleontology, evolution, creationism; a 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica; pyramidology; etc. etc. etc.

AlanF....*drooling* Can I stay at your house and just lose myself in your library? Sounds amazing!

the_classicist...Just yesterday I went to a used-book store in my town and as I was leaving, I saw on top of the front shelves, all the volumes of the TDNT in all their glory!! Neat-o! I'll have to ask what their price is (hefty, I guess). The store also had the Bottings book...
