How is Quotes and his site doing since the legal fuss?

Last I heard his lawyer sent a letter replying to the WTS's own legal letter.

    Is there any new news?

Matters of the law are as zippy as treacle in January. I wouldn't hold my breath, Elsewhere. It seems, too, that Quotes is finally taking his lawyer's advice and he IS holding his breath. I figure, every day the site stays is another nail in the WT coffin.

The wheels of justice turn slowly up in the Great White North. Having said that, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at WT Legal, to see W. Glen How's visceral response to that awesome letter from Quotes' lawyer.

I think that things are going OK for Quotes, and that his Attorney pretty well shut the Watchtower's mouth on the subject of (cease and desist).

I e-mailed Quotes twice to give him a telephone transcript, but go no rely because I thought that during that particular week or two, that all of Quotes e-mails may have been transferred to his Attorney's office.

But I don't really know for sure what was going on during those couple of weeks or so. But I did notice that he had posted some older (Golden Age) articles, so I think that everthing is OK. If not, maybe someone else can give us an up-date. Maybe Quotes will reply and let us know what is going on, I hope!

    Thanks Elsewhere!

    Hi everybody!

So far, no news. Not a peep from WT. And after my lawyer politely requested them to undertake to provide a list of exactly which books on the BS CD they think are infringing. Tsk tsk, sloppy lawyering on their part. Well, I guess you get what you pay for!

Do I think WT is dumb enough to file suit? Probably.

Will such a suit be thrown out of court as the unmeritorious piece-of-garbage that it is? Certainly.

Will I file for, and win, COSTS? Without a doubt.

Will the resulting bad publicity, with the media asking WT if (for example) they still do not believe in Gravity, blow up in their face? I can't wait.

Voyager, sorry about not getting back to you; in all the work at the time your email sunk to the bottom of my inbox. I'll contact you next week. I would LOVE to add your transcript and recording to the site.

    Cheers!

Web hosting for 10 years: $3600.

Setting up an awesome web site that beautifully and tactfully exposes the WTS's hypocrisy: Lots of time.

Receiving a cease-and-desist letter from the big boys: Cool.

Going to court, winning expenses and a dismissal of the suit, and watching WT lawyers eat crow in the public media: Bloody priceless!
