I wouldn't say it was a miraculous survival. Scientifically speaking, children usually have more flexible bones due to a lot of cartilage, and they are still growing and hardened (esp. in the skull area, where the skull cap takes a while to form).
But, yes, there is justice, although not enough.

I have just watched the 11:00 oclock news and this was the first thing on tonight.
This poor child had been moved up to critical condition. She is now on life support.
I feel ill to my stomach right now.My husband witnessed this scene 20 mins after it happened and had to sit on the 401 while waiting for help and never felt so helpless in his life. It bothered him so much ( and he has seen alot of accidents the last 12 years being a truck driver) that he could not work/drive the rest of the day nor yesterday.
We send our thoughts to this special little girl....We pray a miracle happens..
